Do you live in or around the Knoxville area and want to show your community some love? Join Tennessee Virtual Academy for K12 Cares April Community Service Project between promptly at 12:45pm inside the The Muse Knoxville to create your own pinwheels for display at The Muse Knoxville pinwheel garden or at your home. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and we invite you to show your support for our nation's children by making your own pinwheel display!
If families would like The Muse Knoxville group rate admission to the Museum at $6.00/person the TNVA teacher will collect the money (cash only & exact change) to make ONE PAYMENT AT 1pm. Please note the $6.00 admission includes a planetarium show that we will offer at 2:30.
Pinwheels are the national symbol of child abuse prevention and a visible reminder of the happy and healthy childhood that all children deserve.
HERE'S HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE
Option 1 - MAKE A PINWHEEL DISPLAY
Make or purchase inexpensive pinwheels and create a pinwheel garden in your yard or at a local business (with permission).
Or you can make a Pinwheels for Prevention poster to display on your front porch or window. Be sure to include your school's name on the poster!
Once your pinwheel display is complete, take a photo of you with your display and wear your school shirt (if you have one). Share it to your school’s Facebook page.
Option 2 - UPDATE YOUR PROFILE IMAGE
Update your social media profile image with your school’s Care for Your Community Twibbon.
Option 3 - LOG YOUR COMMUNITY SERVICE
